Razor B is many things; singer, song writer, producer and
dancehall artist. Razor B is what is currently missing from the reggae music
scene.
Versatile in his ability to create songs that resonate with
both the young and old, Razor B’s silky smooth style and rough edges reach wide
and deep.
Razor B created OG Entertainment in 2008 and produced his first
studio album ‘This is Razor B’ in 2009. His first attempt at marketing his
music was meet with mixed results. The fans loved the diversity in the rhythms
and positive messaging with tracks such ‘Show Us the Way’ and ‘Watch Yah’, but
radio DJ’s were still getting better ratings from edgier lyrics from the likes of
Mavado and Vibes Kartel.
Razor B went back into the studio, with a better
understanding of the reggae music landscape , he wrote and recorded 22 songs,
choosing 12 for his sophomore album ‘Split Personality’ in 2011.
With the realization that Jamaica was place to plant the
seeds, Razor B hired ...and fired a few PR reps, before settling on a ‘self-managed’
model. Surrounding himself with a small but a dedicated team, Razor continues
to record under his own, OG Entertainment Label.
Razor's latest releases We Party! (2013) and Whine and Stop (2014)
were a shocking surprise to the Dancehall. Audiences, Radio DJ’s, and Promoters
are now experiencing the artist! Sharp, Smooth and Sexy, Razor B has again transformed
himself into the ‘NOW’.
